Located over two glorious islands linked together by a bridge across the lagoon.

The smaller island Rangali hosts the resort’s Water Villas, while the larger island, Rangalifinolhu is home to the Beach Villas and Deluxe Beach Villas (with private pool) set amidst tropical gardens on the doorstep of the white beach. A 30 minutes seaplane flight south of Malé the resort has a beautiful location with exceptionally clear water. Through the glass floor of the Spa it is not uncommon to see harmless baby reef sharks or black stingrays sweeping below you. All the various room types are elegantly furnished, light and airy. However, if you really want to go for the ultimate choice try one of the two Sunset Water Villas. Set down a 100 metres long walkway they are blissfully secluded, the sitting room has a glass floor while the circular bed rotates 180 degrees to follow the sun.

The Conrad is a great option for children and one of our top recommendations. The Maldives now have direct flights which takes the strain off getting there and then the onward seaplane transfer is a great adventure for children (and parents!) The beaches here are really the soft white sand and blue water that we search around the world for. Gently shelving into the sea with calm warm waters make this ideal for children to play in. The Conrad also goes all out to make sure there is plenty to do to keep everyone happy. The kids club is a wonderful place of the children to spend happy days playing pirates and generally having fun whilst for the over 8’s the Bubblemaker diving club is a fantastic introduction to diving. Teenagers have great snorkelling, live music and video games to keep them occupied whilst you can hide away in the spa for some well deserved pampering.

The hotel also has seven restaurants to cater for every taste! Food lovers will find themselves at home amongst the gastronomic delights, whilst the kitchens provide a delicious array of children’s food for them to choose from and even fabulous baby purees so that you don’t have to lug infant food half way around the world.

MAJAA is available for children from 3-12yrs and is open from 08.30-22h00 (from 08.30-18h00 the club is complimentary and from 20h00-22h00 there is a charge of US$10 (approx £7) per child per hour).

FAMILY ROOMS…
Minimum room types for families are the Beach Villas and Deluxe Beach Villas which can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. The Sunset Water Villas (2 bedrooms) can accommodate 4 adults and 2 extra beds for children or adults.
**please note that children must be 12yrs and over to be accommodated in the Spa Village**.

I’M HUNGRY…
The hotel does provide children menu’s. Children are allowed in most restaurants except for Ithaa, Koko Grill, Wine Cellar and the Wine Bar – children must be 12yrs and over.

BABY SITTING & COST…
24 hours notice is requested. Baby sitting is not offered during the daytime but from 8-10pm there is a charge of US$10 per hour per child (approx £7).

COSTS FOR CHILDREN…
Under-12s sharing with their parents are given a reduced rate. Under-2s are charged US$8 bed tax per night but otherwise are not charged for meals or transfers. Children aged 2-12 are given a 50% discount for meals and transfers.
